Finished with three full ABVD cycles and my oncologist sent me for a PET scan the day before chemo #7. So, here's what happens. I go get the scan and I'm laying there on the scanner table and the techs are on the phone ... I of course started to freak out. What did they see??!!??
I asked one of the techs if my scan was that terrible, and she actually told me they were surprised it was so good compared to the last one.
My oncologist is in his usual understated sort of way said my scan showed remission. Nothing is lighting up though the masses are still there. Of course, he then promptly sent me for chemo which took some of the wind out of my sails. haha. Treatment #7 wasn't too bad. The only thing bothering me is this tickling feeling in my chest.

really? my groin?!?
Sometimes its tough being Jenny.
I hurt my groin muscle somehow. I am not exactly sure how I did it. It began hurting a little about two weeks ago (right before my last chemo session), and I thought the time off from running around chemo would make it better. It didn’t. I ran on it a few times and it has gradually become such a problem that I am limping when I walk. Its also very badly swollen.
So, I am taking a few days off in hopes of improving it. Its a strange pain — it hurts not only in the groin area but all the way down my leg into my shin. It is entirely possible, however, that the shin part of the pain is just from my modifying my stride to deal with the groin injury.
Since I am hurt and unable to run much, you’re getting to enjoy more Civil War posts — I have more time and there’s nothing running to write about when I am hurt!
Of course, I couldn’t hurt my knee or ankle. Noooo. Jenny has to hurt her groin. How undignifed.
